Much Woolton and Hunts Cross Ward

A by-election will be held on Thursday 23rd January in the Much Woolton & Hunts Cross Ward due to the resignation of a councillor in this ward.

Standing as a candidate 

If you wish to stand as a candidate at this election then nomination papers can be obtained from the Returning Officer at the Cunard Building, or by emailing elections@liverpool.gov.uk. 

Completed nominations must be received by no later than 4pm on Monday 23rd December 2024.

How to vote

If you live in this ward and are registered to vote, you will receive a poll card by the end of December 2024.  If you are not registered and are eligible to vote please register to vote by Tuesday 7th January 2025.

If you would like to vote by post in this election, and you do not already have a postal vote in place, the deadline for receipt of applications is 5pm on Wednesday 8th January 2025.

The deadline to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf at this election is 5pm on Wednesday 15th January 2025.

Accepted forms of photo ID 

Electors wishing to vote in person on election day at their designated polling station will be required to show a valid form of photo ID. 

If you want to apply for a voter authority certificate because you do not have any of the accepted forms of ID listed on the Electoral Commission website you have up until 5pm on Wednesday 15th January 2025 to do so.
