Consultation on Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy
Start date: Monday 11th November 2024
End date: Monday 6th January 2025
What are we consulting on?
Liverpool City Council is working with Campbell Tickell Ltd to develop a new Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy and to plan ways to improve the housing situation in Liverpool.
We have already talked to homeless people, and partners in the housing and homelessness sector, to help develop our Draft Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.
We have looked at Liverpool services to see how well they perform at preventing and relieving homelessness and rough sleeping, and where improvement is needed.
Our vision is on making homelessness rare by focusing on prevention, making homelessness brief by providing a rapid response to need, and making homelessness non-recurring by offering long-term solutions.
We would like to hear your views on our ideas.

How to comment
We want to hear from local people and partners to help finalise our new strategy.
This consultation is for Liverpool residents, particularly people with lived experience of being homeless. We would also like to hear from anyone who works in the housing or homeless sector in Liverpool.

What happens to my views?
At the end of the survey, we ask for some personal information so that we can explore views by different population groups and geographies. Campbell Tickle Ltd, will analyse the responses and draft up an anonymised report of the findings which will be shared with Liverpool City Council.
Any information that can potentially identify individuals will be restricted under statistical disclosure protocols. Once the consultation is completed, all collected data will be deleted.
What happens next?
Once we have collected views on our draft strategy, we will make any necessary changes to the strategy to reflect this.
The new version of the strategy will then go to Liverpool City Council’s cabinet for approval before the strategy is eventually launched.
The final strategy will be published in our strategies and policies section of this website.
