Level 2 early help assessments

If a child and their family have Level 2 additional or emerging needs, you should identify a lead professional to register an early help assessment.

How to register an early help assessment

• Step 1: Obtain consent from the parent carer - you cannot proceed without first gaining consent.
• Step 2: Contact the EHAT Support Team to register an Early Help Assessment for the family - find the Early Support Teams' contact details on our advice and guidance page.
• Step 3: The lead professional must complete an Early Help Assessment and start Team Around the Family Support
