Support for families with parents in prison

'Family Ties: Reimagined' is a specialist service within Liverpool's Family Help offer, providing support to children, young people and families affected by parental imprisonment.

Who we support

We understand that having a parent in prison can bring significant changes to family life.
Every family's experience is different, and people may need support at different points during the imprisonment journey.

We work with children and young people, parents and carers and wider family members, where appropriate, who are affected by parental imprisonment.

'Family Ties: Reimagined' works across both prison and community settings, helping families to access the right support at the right time. It is part of Liverpool's wider support offer for children and families affected by parental imprisonment.

Who can access the service?

The service is available to children, young people and families living in Liverpool who are affected by parental imprisonment.

Support is voluntary and families remain in control of decisions about their involvement. We will always seek consent before sharing information unless there is a safeguarding concern.
