Why wasn't my blue bin emptied?
Our crews may refuse to empty blue recycling bins if you put incorrect items in them.
- Do not black bags, plastic bags, nappies, food waste, batteries, electrical items or textiles in your recycling bin
- Do not overfill the bin
- Do not leave extra waste beside the bin

If you think we have missed your bin by mistake, you can report a missed collection online. When you report a missed bin, we will check our records and, if we have refused to collect it, we will tell you why.
What can I recycle in my blue bin?
Place all items loose in the bin — do not put them inside black bin bags or plastic bags.

- Glass bottles and jars — remove lids
- Tetrapak cartons — milk, soup and juice cartons
- Yoghurt pots
- Cardboard boxes, cereal and food boxes, egg cartons, toilet and kitchen inner rolls - flattened
- Cans — do not crush
- Paper, magazines, newspapers, books, catalogues
- Junk mail, envelopes, wrapping paper
- Plastic drinks, shampoo and cleaning bottles — lids on
