Coronavirus update - mourners at funerals
No more than 30 people in total, excluding funeral staff and clergy, can attend a funeral and gather outside crematorium chapels to listen to the service. For instance, 20 people inside and 10 outside, or 10 inside and 20 outside.
Up to 15 mourners can be graveside for a burial. Only six people can attend the scattering of ashes. Face coverings must be worn and social distancing must be followed at all times. Read our guidance on planning and attending a funeral during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Cemeteries and crematoria
The city council has two crematoria and six cemeteries. Please contact us for information regarding burial plots.
