Central government has issued information about a range of measures to help businesses including business rates discounts, statutory sick pay refunds, a business loan scheme, cash grants for small businesses and ‘time to pay’ tax arrangements. Find out more about coronavirus support
Access your business rates online
Using the business rates reference number and your online key printed at the top right hand corner of your latest bill or recovery notice, you can view:
- Your payment history.
- A breakdown of charges and payments for any year.
- Copies of any letters we have sent out to you.

Set up or change a Direct Debit
It’s easy and safe to set up or change a Direct Debit using Business Rates Online without an online key.
You will need the following items before you start:
- Your business rates reference number.
- The bank account number and sort code (you must be the holder of the bank account and authorised to set up a Direct Debit).
When you enter the system, select the 'View Direct Debit services' link under 'Pay by Direct Debit' to set up or amend a Direct Debit

Cancel a Direct Debit
You can cancel a Direct Debit by contacting your bank. Please also contact us to let us know you have done this.
