List of land and buildings assets
Under the Local Government Transparency Code 2015, the council must publish details of all its land and building assets once a year.
What information must we publish?
The information we publish must include details of the following.
- all council service and office properties occupied or controlled by user bodies, both freehold and leasehold
- any properties occupied or run under Private Finance Initiative contracts
- all other properties the council owns or uses, for example, hostels, laboratories, investment properties and depots
- garages, unless rented as part of a housing tenancy agreement
- surplus, sublet or vacant properties
- undeveloped land
- serviced or temporary offices where contractual or actual occupation exceeds three months, and
- all future commitments, for example, properties under an agreement for lease
The council must exclude any information which is deemed inappropriate for public access as a result of data protection or disclosure controls such as refuge houses, care homes.
Details relating to social housing stock and residential properties is not published.
