Croxteth Children's Centre

We provide free weekly fun activities for parents, carers and their children and support and advice for families and expectant parents in the Croxteth and Fazakerley areas.

If you've never used a children's centre before you'll need to register your details before accessing services. Complete your registration online or visit your nearest children's centre to register.

All activities are term time only and must be booked unless otherwise stated. You can also access other activities at our Fazakerley site.

  • Story Time

    Croxteth Library, Altcross Rd, L11 0BS

    A session for children 0-4 years encouraging speech and language development through informal sessions of songs, rhymes, stories, and crafts. 

    Monday 10am — 11am

  • Toddler Yoga

    Fazakerley CC

    These sessions will include age-appropriate yoga and movement including breathing, poses, games, stories, music, relaxation, and meditation. For children aged 2-4 years.

  • SWAN Support Group

    Fazakerley CC

    Support with additional needs. If you have a child with additional needs, come along to a safe and stimulating environment. Receive guidance from our experienced team and other specialist agencies. Your children can enjoy activities and you can meet new friends.

  • Nurture Programme

    Croxteth CC

    A 10-week course to promote emotional health, empathy, confidence and encourages a positive approach to behaviour management. Creche available.

  • Early Communication

    Croxteth CC

    A 6-week programme to support speech and language development. 

    Tuesdays 9.30am — 10.15am and 10.30am — 11.15am.

  • Bambis Stay and Play

    Fazakerley CC

    A fun group for breastfeeding mums and babies, or those wanting to breastfeed, to play, chat, meet other mums and get support if needed.

  • Baby Yoga

    Fazakerley CC

    This session is designed to help babies move their bodies in stretches and holds that are beneficial to their posture, circulation and development, with the assistance of their grown ups.

  • You and Me, Mum

    Have you have experienced domestic abuse? Fazakerley and Croxteth Children’s Centre can support you. We offer one-to-one support and deliver a 10-week 'You and Me, Mum' course to identify the effects of domestic abuse on children.

  • Baby Massage

    Croxteth CC

    4-week course. A relaxing session that gives you and your baby some quality time to bond in warm and friendly environment.

  • Tiny Tasters and Mighty Movers

    Croxteth CC

    A course for children aged 2 to 4 years. Aimed to promote healthy eating and physical activity. Come along and make some healthy recipes to taste and enjoy. Then we will get your little ones moving and grooving in Mighty Movers, exploring movement and music.

  • Antenatal parent education sessions

    Sessions for expecting parents to learn about safe sleeping, baby development, feeding and more.

We run accredited courses on family matters, healthy lifestyles and preparing for work. We also provide advice on the following:

  • 2 year nursery funding - criteria and advice.
  • Fostering - All kinds of people foster - could you? Contact us for information, guidance and applications.
  • SEN - Support for children with speech and language difficulties as well as support for children with special/additional needs.
  • Development Matters - A chance to have a chat about any worries about your child's development with our SEND link worker.
  • Sensory room - phone the centre to book 30- or 60-minute sessions.
  • Advice about nursery education funding.
  • Help with online school applications.
  • Local job search
  • One to one support for pregnant teenagers and teenage parents
  • Advice and support - postnatal depression, stop smoking, breastfeeding, targeted sleep advice, benefits, parenting advice, outreach and support in local schools.
  • Domestic Abuse - If you have experienced Domestic Abuse, we can offer you advice, support and help. Contact the centre on 233 3705.
  • You and Me, Mum - A 10 week course and one to one support to identify the effects of domestic abuse on children. Contact us for more information.
