Children and families

Fazakerley Children's Centre

We provide free weekly fun activities for parents, carers and their children and support and advice for families and expectant parents in the Fazakerley and Croxteth areas.

If you've never used a children's centre before you'll need to register your details before accessing services. Complete your registration online or visit your nearest children's centre to register.

  • PEEP Stay and Play

    Fazakerley CC

    For children aged 18 months to 5 years for your little explorers to learn, play and make new friends in a safe and welcoming environment.

  • Welcome to the World

    Fazakerley CC

    If you're expecting a new arrival, these antenatal sessions will support and prepare you for the exciting journey ahead. Practical advice, essential information and emotional support.

  • Welcome to Play

    Fazakerley CC

    A 6-week course designed to show the importance of play and the benefits of play to support children's development. Suitable for ages 2 to 4 years.

  • Story Time

    A session for children 0-4 years. Encouraging speech and language development through informal sessions of songs, rhymes, stories, and crafts.

  • BAMBIS Stay and Play

    Fazakerley CC

    Let your baby explore while you connect with other parents. If you're breastfeeding or considering it, we offer a supportive environment to share experiences. It's a safe, non-judgmental space to help you navigate your breastfeeding journey.

  • Antenatal parent education session

    Fazakerley CC

    Sessions for expectant parents to learn about safe sleeping, baby development, feeding and much more.

  • Early Communication Group

    Fazakerley CC

    Six-week programme to support speech and language development for children aged 2-4 years. Ask your health visitor for a referral or contact the centre to discuss your concerns.

  • SWAN Support with Additional Needs

    Fazakerley CC

    If you have a child with additional needs, come along to a safe and stimulating environment. Receive guidance from our experienced team and other specialist agencies. Your children can enjoy activities and you can meet new friends.

  • Baby Massage

    Fazakerley CC

    A 4-week programme. Enjoy a relaxing session that gives you and your baby some quality time to bond in warm and friendly environment.

  • Introducing solid foods

    Fazakerley CC

    A monthly session to introduce solid foods to your baby including the recommended age, portions and nutritious meal ideas.

    Wednesday 2.30pm — 3.30pm each month.

  • Tiny Tasters and Mighty Movers

    Croxteth CC

    A course for children aged 2 to 4 years. Aimed to promote healthy eating and physical activity. Come along and make some healthy recipes to taste and enjoy. Then we will get your little ones moving and grooving in Mighty Movers, exploring movement and music.

  • Nurture Programme

    A 10-week parenting course to promote emotional health, empathy, confidence and encourages a positive approach to behaviour management.

  • All about Baby

    Fazakerley CC

    A session for children 0-12mths, offering a stimulating environment for children, and advice and support for parents and carers.

  • Baby Connect

    Fazakerley CC

    A 10-week course for parents/carers of babies up to 12 months. Each session has a different theme which you will use to make a memory book of high points in your baby's life.

  • You and Me, Mum

    Fazakerley CC

    If you have experienced Domestic Abuse, we can support you. We can deliver our YMM course one to one or in a group. This will help you identify the effects of Domestic Abuse on mothers and their children.

  • Advice and support - postnatal depression, stop smoking, breastfeeding, targeted sleep advice, benefits, parenting advice, outreach and support in local schools.
