Councillors allowances
Members of the council are entitled to be paid allowances in accordance with the government's Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (England) Regulations 2003.
A basic allowance is paid to all councillors. Special responsibility allowances are paid to those councillors who have significant additional responsibilities, over and above the generally accepted duties of a councillor.
