Grass cutting schedule

We cut grass between March and September each year.

To protect our local environment and encourage greater biodiversity, we have reduced the mowing frequency across our parks, greenspaces and highways.

This means the grass in your area may be:

  • 75% cut
  • 50% cut
  • picture framed, where only the outer edges are cut on a regular cycle.

The mowing schedule operates every 4 weeks (28 days) depending on weather conditions.

Areas with part or picture frame cuts will also receive one full cut per year, towards the end of the season.

This grass cutting schedule does not apply to football pitches, cricket wickets or bowling greens, which will continue to be fully mowed as normal.

Please use the lookup tool below to see which type of grass cutting has been adopted in your area. This search is not a postcode look-up, you need to search by street name.
