Walter Street area business parking permit

This parking permit scheme is for businesses located within the Walter Street area and operates 10am to midnight, all year.

Bramley Moore zone code: WS

About the scheme

The scheme is a Permitted Parking Area which means that there are no marked out bays.

A permit does not guarantee availability of a parking space. The permit will only allow parking in this area which will be shown by signs.

Different rules will apply on days when events are taking place, and when there are no events on.

Event days

  • Cars displaying a permit can park all day in the PPA or parking bays.
  • Cars without a permit can park for up to two hours in the PPA or parking bays (no return within one hour).

Non-event days

  • Cars displaying a permit can park all day in the PPA or parking bays.
  • Cars without a permit can park for up to four hours in the PPA or parking bays (no return within one hour).

An 'event day' refers to any sporting or non-sporting event at the new stadium with 10,000 or more attendees.

We can also apply 'event day' rules for events at the stadium with fewer than 10,000 attendees or events that are taking place at other locations like Goodison Park, Anfield or the City Centre, where there is a need to manage parking.

The dates of any upcoming events will be displayed on signs marking the entry to the PPA so you will need to check these.

There may be other types of parking bays and parking rules in and around the area. Permits do not allow you to park:

  • on single or double yellow lines
  • in taxi bays
  • in loading bays
  • in disabled bays
  • at bus stops
