If a child and their family have Level 2 additional or emerging needs, you should identify a lead professional to register a family help assessment.

How to register a family help assessment

• Step 1: Obtain consent from the parent carer - you cannot proceed without first gaining consent.
• Step 2: Contact the Family Help Team to register a FHA for the family - find the Family Help Teams' contact details on our advice and guidance page.
• Step 3: The lead professional must complete an FHA and start Team Around the Family Support
