Professionals: Safeguarding adults procedure
The Liverpool Safeguarding Pathway and Procedure has been developed by the Liverpool Safeguarding Adults Board to address situations involving concerns, allegations, or disclosures of abuse affecting adults with care and support needs.
These procedures outline the collaborative approach that agencies and individuals should take to effectively safeguard and support adults who are experiencing, or are at risk of, abuse or neglect and are unable to protect themselves.

How to report a safeguarding concern
Professionals should refer to the process for reporting urgent and non-urgent safeguarding concerns.
Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SAR)
A Safeguarding Adults Review (SAR) is a multi-agency process which explores what the agencies and people involved in a safeguarding case could have done differently to prevent harm and/or neglect to the adult.

Liverpool Safeguarding Adults Board
Under the Care Act, every local authority must set up a Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) for its area. The Liverpool Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB) is chaired by an independent chair and works alongside local communities and partner organisations across the city.
Its main objective is to help and protect adults with care and support needs who are at risk of, or experiencing abuse or neglect.
