Animal activity licence fees
When you apply for an animal activity licence and we have checked you have included all the relevant documentation, we will contact you to pay the relevant fee, listed below.
Additional fees for vet inspections may be required.

| Rerating request with inspection: Business has requested a rerating to reassess star rating. Reinspection applies where a business with a rating of 1-4 have accepted their rating, but have made improvements needed to address issues noted during inspection. Revisit required to establish if rating increase can be granted. |

Reinspection applies where a business with a rating of 1-4 have accepted their rating, but have made improvements needed to address issues noted during inspection. A revisit is not required to establish if rating increase can be granted (sufficient to review documents via email and images of changes made). |

| Rerating for business no longer meeting licence conditions: If, during a visit an operator is no longer meeting all conditions, they may have their rating reduced. If this occurs, they will be expected to cover the costs of the new licence being produced and sent to them. |

If additional animals are seen during renewal or interim inspections, the operator will be expected to pay for the additions (either £80 or £110).
If your application is not approved, you will receive a partial refund of £80. Application fees are non-refundable once the application process has started.
