Public Space Protection Orders

Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO) aim to deal with a particular nuisance in a particular area that is having a detrimental effect on the quality of life for those in the local community. 

For example, it may prohibit the consumption of alcohol in a specific place. View the current orders below.

  This PSPO relates to activities involving the sale of goods, publications, wristbands or entertainment for money where those activities may negatively affect the wellbeing of children and are causing nuisance and concern within the community. The PSPO, originally made on 7th January 2020 and extended for 3 years from 7th January 2023, has been extended for a further 3 years from 4th December 2025.
