If you are not on the electoral register you cannot vote. It takes five minutes to register online.
You can apply to vote by post or appoint someone to vote on your behalf in an election.
You will receive a polling card a few weeks before an election which tells you which polling station to use.
We also publish a polling station look-up on our website, normally a few days before the election.
We publish election results on this website once votes have been counted.
You can also view results of previous elections.
Before you contact us, you should be able to find what you need in our voting and elections section.
Accessing electoral services online speeds up the process as enquiries are logged straight into our system.
But if you can't find what you're looking for get in touch.
