Discover…for children
A stunning space for children to discover a wealth of books in Central Library. Teachers can book this space, and special events are planned.
Books for babies and toddlers
All our libraries have a collection of picture and board books suitable for babies and toddlers, which is a great way of introducing them to the wonderful world of books.
Bookstart
Bookstart aims to help families discover the fun and excitement of sharing books together. If you have not received a Bookstart pack from your Health Visitor, visit your local library and talk to the staff.
If you would like to find out more about Bookstart, email bookstart@liverpool.gov.uk or visit the Booktrust website.
Story and rhyme times
Many of our libraries also have story sessions and rhyme times for children under five. Please keep an eye on our individual library pages and social media for details.
Children's centres
Children's centres across Liverpool run a number of activities for young children and parents.
