- Children's centres A range of free services for children under 5 and their families.
- Nursery and childcare providers Search online or contact the Liverpool Family Information Service to find childcare providers in Liverpool.
- Wraparound childcare places These places are for primary-school-aged children, before and after the school day during term time. More places will be available from September 2024.
- Funded childcare - age 3 to 4 All children aged 3 to 4 are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare per week. An additional 15 hours per week is available for eligible working families.
- Funded childcare - age 2 2-year-olds with additional needs or those from vulnerable and disadvantaged families are entitled to 15 hours funded childcare per week.
- Funded childcare - age 2 and under From April 2024, funded childcare is being expanded for working families of younger children so they can access 15 hours per week, increasing to 30 hours per week by September 2025.
- Early Years Pupil Premium Providers of funded early years education can claim an Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) of up to £300 per year.
