Independent travel training consultancy
We offer a specialist consultancy service to support other local authorities to develop or enhance their Independent Travel Training (ITT) provision.
With almost 30 years of sector leading experience, we provide expert guidance on creating sustainable, high quality ITT programmes that improve independence, inclusion and long term outcomes for children, young people and adults with SEND.
Our consultancy offer helps authorities design, implement and quality assure your own ITT model. This includes support with:
- policy development
- operational processes
- training delivery
- staff development
- stakeholder engagement
- long term monitoring and evaluation.
All support is tailored to local needs and delivered by senior, highly experienced members of Liverpool’s ITT team.
Local authorities can also access accredited training, opportunities to shadow our travel trainers, and a full suite of customisable ITT resources. The approach is flexible and designed to align with each authority’s existing SEND and transport strategies.
