Review of Council Tax single person discount

We are carrying out a review of households in Liverpool that receive the 25% single person discount on their Council Tax bill, where only one adult is permanently resident.

We are required to do this to make sure that our records are accurate, and to identify any households who have had a change of circumstances and are no longer entitled to the discount. It also helps ensure discounts are awarded correctly and fairly.

This will involve us writing to households asking you to declare that you are still entitled to the Single Person Discount or to confirm when you stopped being entitled.
