Processing permit applications

Your permit will be issued within 28 days as long as you have submitted the required supporting documentation with your application - please don't call to check on its progress. We will reject applications if the required documents are missing.

Please note: The BQ (Business Quarter) refers to a small area within the Inner Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). Residents within this zone are eligible for a resident permit which allows parking between 5:00 pm and 9:00 am, Monday to Friday, and all day on weekends and Bank Holidays. Parking outside of these permitted hours is subject to the applicable pay-and-display charges. This arrangement reflects the principle of city-centre living, where access to daily amenities and public transport is intended to reduce the need for private vehicle use. Visitor permits are not issued for this zone.

Your PIN would have been sent to you with confirmation of your original application. If you no longer have these details, please contact Parking Services to request another PIN or visit your local One Stop Shop - see how to book an appointment at a One Stop Shop.
