When to apply

Developers and architects

When you submit a planning application which requires the naming and numbering service we will send you a letter instructing you to submit the relevant plans so that streets can be named and properties can be allocated numbers.

Residents

If you have made significant changes to the original property, for example, converted a single dwelling to apartments or changed the main access etc, you will need to apply to make changes.

We will notify the relevant bodies of new addresses. These include Ordnance Survey, Royal Mail, Land Registry, council departments, utilities, NHS and emergency services.

The amount you need to pay will depend on the type of application and the size of the development.
