Historic Features

It is the site of Norris Green Mansion, former home of Liverpool bankers and at one time a Lord Mayor. The house was demolished in the 1930s, with only the Stableyard wall (a listed building), magnificent mature trees and old walled garden wall to show its former use.

Fitness equipment

There's also a range of Trim Trail exercise equipment in the park.

Parks byelaws

So that everyone can enjoy our parks and open spaces we have policies and byelaws in place which cover:

  • Protection of the ground, its wildlife and the public
  • Horses, cycles and vehicles
  • Play areas, games and sports
  • Waterways
  • Model aircraft

Byelaws are local laws made by the council, which means we can issue penalties and act to protect property and individuals.
