School travel pass: Duplicate application
You can apply for a duplicate pass if the original has been lost, stolen or destroyed.
You can do this online, or pay by debit or credit card at any One Stop Shop.
Charges
The fee for a replacement Merseytravel pass is £10, and £25 for an Arriva pass.
Please note: We cannot refund the fee if you find the original pass or decide you no longer need a replacement.
Apply online
1. Pay first
You must pay the fee online before you apply as you will need to quote your payment reference.
You'll be asked to select either an Arriva or Merseytravel travel pass. Once you've done that the cost will automatically be displayed.
Remember to make a note of your payment reference number.
2. Apply
You will need:
- Your payment reference number.
- A digital passport style photograph of your child (head and shoulder shot). A photo is not required for bus only travel applications or SEN travel pass applications.
- Read the guidance on gov.uk for passport photo requirements.
You will be prompted to upload the photograph during the application process. Your digital photograph must not exceed 9MB in size.
You can upload images from your computer, tablet or mobile device. If you prefer to send them by post or email, you can do this after you have submitted your application - the details of where to send them will be included in the confirmation email we send you.

We can only process applications once we have received the payment and all relevant documents.
What happens next?
Once we have received your application and the required documentation, it may take up to 30 days to process. If you have not heard from us after 30 days, you can email schoolbustravel@liverpool.gov.uk for an update, quoting your child's name and date of birth.
