Request a change to your personal licence

You must tell us of any changes to your circumstances so that we can update the details on your personal licence.

Changes you need to tell us about include:

  • change to your name
  • change to your address
  • if you have lost your licence, or if it has been stolen.

The cost for an updated licence is £10.50, which you can pay online when you submit your change request.

How to apply

You can apply and pay online below.

You will be prompted to upload proof documents with your application, so please have these to hand - these can be scanned copies or photographs of the original documents.

  • Your current card and paper licence (unless lost or stolen).
  • Name change: a marriage certificate or certified copy.
  • Address change: a recent utility bill in your name with your new address.
  • Lost or stolen: Details of what happened and attach any part of the licence that you still have.

If the fee is not paid, the application will not arrive in our system. Once paid, we will receive your application and notification of payment.

Once we’ve received your  application, payment and documentation, we will send you a replacement licence.
