Before you apply
Before you apply, you will need to work out how much space you will need - one pay and display bay measures five metres. You will also need the make, registration, and size in metres of each vehicle you intend to use.
If any vehicle or item of building equipment will obstruct a pavement or hang over it during your work, you must ensure you have the correct highways licence. This includes a licence to use cherry pickers, mobile cranes, skips with a chute and scaffolding.
You can also use the form below to ask us to consider applications to suspend other types of parking bays, such as disabled or motorcycle parking bays.
How to apply
Complete the online form below at least 10 working day before you plan to carry out the work.
You must also read and agree the terms and conditions before you submit your application.
Read our privacy notice which tells you how we use your data.
What happens next?
Please allow 10 days for your application to be processed.
We will email to let you know if your application has been successful and ask for payment in full.
We will only authorise the suspension when we receive the payment. We will then let local parking enforcement officers aware of the date and time you will be using the bays so you will not incur any fines.
What if I no longer need you to suspend the bays?
If you no longer need us to suspend the bays, please email parking.services@liverpool.gov.uk no later than 72 hours before the suspension has been scheduled.
If the suspension you want to cancel is scheduled to take place on a Monday or Tuesday morning your email must get to us before 12 noon on the Friday before.
