Set in 121 acres, this Grade II listed Victorian park is surrounded by fine period architecture and fishing lakes with roach, carp and tench. An angling permit is required if fishing in park lakes.

Access to the park is via Sheil Road, Prescot Road and West Derby Road.
Historic Features
Grade II listed Newsham House, where Queen Victoria once stayed, now used as Judges lodgings. Grade II listed Seamen's Orphan Institution. Cast iron bandstand.
Lakes
The two large lakes contain Roach, Carp and Tench. Angling permit required. One lake can also be used for sailing model boats. Liverpool Model Boat Club.
Playground
Swings, roundabout, see-saw, spring mobile, spinning dish, play panels, multi play area.
Action sports hub
For skateboarders, BMX and scooter riders.
Lake View Kiosk
Sells a range of hot and cold snacks, drinks and confectionary.
Cricket club

So that everyone can enjoy our parks and open spaces we have policies and byelaws in place which cover:

Byelaws are local laws made by the council, which means we can issue penalties and act to protect property and individuals.
