You must contact allotment sites directly for availability and waiting lists. For plot holder disputes you must contact the allotment site committee-in-charge.
All opportunities for concessions and leasing in Liverpool parks and greenspaces, when they arise, are managed through a strict tender process by the council's procurement service. Parks have no involvement in this and we cannot arrange concessions outside of the procurement process.
View the council's current tenders.
For enquiries about holding events in our parks or greenspaces you can complete an event request form.
You can submit a request for filming in Liverpool via the Liverpool Film Office. If they approve the request, the film office will liaise with our outdoor event officer on park availability and any restrictions.
You must obtain a permit from us before fishing in any of our park lakes. Anglers over the age of 12 also need a rod licence from the Environment Agency.
We cut grass between March and September and we have reduced the mowing frequency across our parks and greenspaces to encourage biodiversity. Before you submit a grass cutting enquiry, please refer to our grass cutting schedule.
If you think there is an urgent need to cut back grass because is it is causing a hazard, you can report it.
The parks team cannot respond to historical enquiry searches. The best starting point is Liverpool Record Office or by searching the online archives catalogue.
The council does not manage the Leisure United hubs (pitches and gyms) at Heron Eccles, Simpson Ground, Jeffrey Humble and Jericho Lane and we cannot take enquiries for events and activities at these hubs.
Please contact Leisure United directly for any hub enquiries.
If you are looking to host a temporary market in Liverpool parks and greenspaces you must contact the Liverpool Markets Team for advice and guidance.
The memorial bench waiting list is expected to take more than 12 months for new enquiries and can cost up to £2,700. This is a non-statutory service and there is no guarantee that a bench can be installed. Memorial plantings are not allowed but we can see if any requests for tree planting can be accommodated within our tree replacement schedule.
Contact the parks service for memorial bench or tree planting enquiries.
No other memorialisation is allowed in parks and we will remove any unauthorised installations. A range of memorialisation options are available at our cemeteries and crematoria.
Tell us about maintenance issues, damaged equipment, litter or vandalism in a park, cemetery or open space.
There are areas in our parks and greenspaces where dogs are not allowed and other greenspaces where they must be kept on a lead.
See dogs in public spaces for more information.
To report other dog issues such as lost and stray dogs, dog fouling, and dangerous dogs, please see our dog issues page.
Liverpool parks are not approved wedding venues so it is not possible to have a legal wedding ceremony outdoors. If you are planning to host a reception outdoors you would need to submit a park events enquiry.
We can remove the remains of dead animals from our parks.
See the process for reporting dead animals
We cannot deal with injured wildlife but if you have a concern please follow the RSPCA advice by contacting a local vet or rehabilitation centre as they will not usually charge for treating wildlife. For animals bigger than a rabbit/over 5kg, vets will require a reference number from the RSPCA to enable treatment. Please be aware of Avian flu in the winter months before taking action.
Unfortunately we are not accepting requests for work experience or gardening or to support work placements or volunteers.
You may want to get in touch with your local park friends group, who contribute to the management and upkeep of our local parks.
Before you contact us, you should be able to find what you need in our parks and greenspaces section.
But if you can't find what you're looking for get in touch.
