Council Tax energy rebate
The government has announced support to help with rising energy bills including a one-off payment of £150 to households in Council Tax bands A to D and a discretionary fund for residents in higher band properties. Find out more about the Council Tax energy rebate.
Council Tax exemption for foster carers
If you're a registered foster carer who has been appointed from Liverpool City Council's in-house pool of foster carers, you may be eligible for a 100% Council Tax reduction if you are:
- A foster carer who is actively fostering
- A foster carer who is actively available to foster
- A newly registered foster carer who has had a child in placement for 7 days
- A foster carer who has a young person remaining with them after reaching the age of 18 under a 'staying-put arrangement' will remain entitled to the 100% Council Tax reduction. This will continue until the person being cared for reaches the age of 21.
