Assisted bin collections
If you live alone and are unable to put your bins out because of ill health or a disability, and there is no one who could put your bins out for you, you can request an assisted collection.
This service is for people with a permanent or short-term medical condition who live alone and have no-one to help put their bins out for collection. It is not for people who work away from home.

What happens next?
We aim to review your request in seven working days. We will let you know if we need any more information from you.
If your application is successful, we will arrange for the refuse collectors to take your bin out and return it once emptied.
If your property is detached or semi-detached, please leave your bins in front of your property. For other properties, such as terraced homes where bins are normally stored in a gated alleyway, we will collect from the rear of the property.
How long do assisted collections last?
Assisted collections will last for two years. If you still need help to put your bins out after this time, you will need to reapply for the service.
Missed collections
If you are already registered for assisted collections and your collection has been missed, you can report a missed bin collection online.
