Call us

Traffic light faults are a priority for us to fix, so please call 0151 233 3001 to report them.

When you call us to report an issue, please provide the location of the lights in detail. For example, the name of the roads if on a junction, or buildings, schools or landmarks it is near to.

What happens next?

We will attend emergency reports within 2 hours and repair it if we can. Most emergency faults normally require follow up repairs, so if we cannot fix it immediately, we will make it safe until we can arrange a full repair.

If the fault is with the electricity supply, we will ask the electricity supplier to carry out the repair. In these cases, the timescales are out of our control, but their typical response time is up to 35 working days.

Temporary traffic lights

We do not provide or maintain temporary traffic lights.

Temporary traffic signals are mainly used by contractors where roadworks are being carried out to help manage traffic flow.

An information board will be displayed near the temporary traffic lights, with a telephone number to report any faults or problems.
